About Ravalli County Habitat for Humanity
|

Ravalli County HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Our mission is to build simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with those in need. Habitat for Humanity sells houses to families at no profit, through interest-free loans. Our purpose also includes education and comunity building. The years have been good for Habitat for Humanity of Ravalli County, Ravalli County and to Ravalli County Families. We have been active in the valley for 10 years and have helped 3 families build and purchase homes of their own in Hamilton, Corvallis and Darby. We have recently purchased building lots in Hamilton for our fourth and fifth homes.
Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.
Given the demonstrated need in our area, it is more important now than ever to provide affordable housing in Ravalli County and we depend on the generous support of our local community in order to do so. One of our critical and on going goals is to continue to nurture a broad base of diverse volunteers. Please consider sharing your talents on one of our committees. We need you to get involved! Volunteer Relations Committee
The first Tuesday of each month - 6:00PM Marcus Daly Hospital - Conference Room D
We are looking for more volunteers to be part of our Volunteer Relations Committee.
This committee is responsible for creating and implementing a program to recruit, manage, and appreciate Habitat volunteers.
Activities of this committee include:
· Develop and maintain volunteer contacts with individuals and groups throughout the community
· Meet Habitat's need for volunteers for committees, events, building construction, etc
· Meet the volunteers' needs
· Ensure a good experience for volunteers

First Monday of each month in Conference room D at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. At 6pm.

Building Committee Meeting
UMAB Church 211 N 6th St. Hamilton - The first Tuesday and third Wednesday of each month - 6:00 PM
If you are interested in becoming involved in our current building projects, please come join us. We are looking for volunteers to assist in non-hands on tasks related to construction.

If you have a gift for fund raising or just want to help out where you can, come join us at our next meeting. We have a lot of things going on and always need more help!
